Continuing Classes
Yeli is proud to announce that new classes with be starting in April 2010 at the Little Egypt Academy! The classes will include intro level classes on Tuesdays at 7pm followed by a props choreography class at 8pm. Each new session will feature a new prop and choreography!
Little Egypt Academy is easy to get to right off of I-635 and Jupiter Road (5-10 minutes from Addison of course easy to get to from everywhere!)
Tuesday Classes at 7pm and 8pm

8pm - Proptastic Bellydance - Learn a new choreography each session with a new prop

Workshops
Yeli is a dynamic and fun workshop instructor. She is available for both local and national travel for workshops
If you are looking for great instruction in cabaret style combos or ITS, props such as the veil or zills and folkloric-esque styles like Melaya Leff and Raks Assaya (cane) then Yeli is the instructor you are looking for!

It is possible to be a "Jack of all trades and master of none" teacher, so Yeli chooses to focus on instruction in areas she is well versed in. If there is an area of instruction you are looking for that Yeli does not teach at the workshop level, she will be more than happy to help you find a dancer that is well suited to teach that specific genre of the dance.
Here are some basic workshop descriptions of what Yeli can bring to your next event:
Veil Wrangling for Dancers:
Don't let that beautiful veil intimidate you any longer! Learn how to dance comfortably and beautifully with your veil and be confident with your performance. Yeli will break down basic veil technique while teaching moves the frame the body, accentuate your dance and wow the audience! This class is suitable for dancers with little or no training with veil. Dancers with some veil experience will still learn a great deal from this class including tips on handling and new tricks.
Timeframe - 1-3 hours based on request
Trixy little Veil dancers aren't you?
This class is for dancers that want to learn it all. Tips and tricks and more tricks! Yeli leaves it all on the dance floor for you as she introduces you to veil tricks that are simply executed and are sure to impress your audience. This class includes wraps, entrances, turns, drops and more. Dancers should have some experience in handling the veil so more time is spent on learning new tricks!
Timeframe - 2-3 hours based on request
Advanced/ Master veil technique:
This class is for dancers that are confident with basic veil technique. Yeli will share her favorite advanced level veil tricks and break each one down for maximum success for each dancer. All dancers are guaranteed to leave the class with new tricks they have not tried or see before.
Timeframe - 2 hours
Beginning / Intermediate or Advanced Veil Choreography
Yeli has a number of different veil choreographies she can offer you. Whether you are looking for a beginning level choreography or one that has won Yeli awards in competition she has cabaret choreographies to suit your needs.
Timeframe - Approximately 3 hours based on level requested
I'm FAN-tastic, thanks for asking!
Students will learn a great fan veil choreography to a beautiful and classical Middle Eastern song. Proper technique with fan veils will be demonstrated along with tips and tricks. Advanced students can learn this choreography in two hours, mixed level classes should plan for three hours. All classes with allow for time to perform the choreography in groups.

Melaya Leff
This is one of Yeli's favorite genres to dance to. The Melaya is a wonderful and cheeky dance that is fun to learn. Yeli will begin the class by discussing the history and myths of the Melaya or Eskandarany dances. She will then introduce basic Melaya veil technique and end the class with fun Melaya combos or a short choreography. Students should be prepared to dance with their own Melaya veil or bring a heavy weight veil to work with.
Timeframe - 2-3 hours based on request
The Sweetest Saidii
Yeli must have been channeling Shirley Temple when choreographing this sweet saidii. So fun and cute, a dance that will be fun for anyone to learn and perform. This choreography is performed without props, just your cheeky smile and sassy hips. Students will learn a full choreography and a number of great combos to take home and use in their own performances.
Timeframe - Approximately 2-3 hours based on level requested
Raks Assaya (cane)
Dancers will learn basic cane technique to saidii music. This class includes a short history of the cane in bellydance from the cane's use in folkloric Egyptian dance to today's cabaret stylings. Yeli will introduce a number of fun and sassy cane combos that the dancers will learn to put together for performance.
Timeframe - 2-3 hours based on request
The Thrill of the Zill
Don't limit for zill playing with your dance to only 1-2-3, 1-2-3! Yeli will work with your requests to build a fantastic zill workshop that focuses on learning more than just simple triplet with the dance. Learn different patterns that can be incorporated with many styles of music. This is a movement based class that is intended for dancers that have some experience playing zills and can comfortably play a triplet pattern while dancing. This class is suitable for both cabaret and tribal dancers.
Timeframe - 2 hours
Cabaret Combos
Yeli is always developing new combos to add into choreographed or improvised performances. These combos will be presented and broken down for the dancers. Notes will be provided and dancers will have access to a private You Tube account where they can view the combos on line.
Time frame - 2 hours
ITS for solo or troupes - including new combos
Yeli has been proud to learn from and dance with great troupes like Tribal Evolution and Jezebelly. Basic ITS foundations will be introduced in this class along with combos developed by Yeli.
Timeframe - 2-4 hours depending on request
